The Labor Distribution profile enables you to create as many profiles as necessary to allocate time that the employee worked between different cost centers, based on predetermined percentage splits. This article provides step-by-step instructions for creating and assigning a Labor Distribution Profile in UKG Ready, including how to allocate earnings across cost centers, assign profiles to employees, and edit Pay Prep Profiles.
Assign Labor Distribution To Applicable Employee
IMPORTANT: The cost center will override the labor distribution profile if not blocked in Pay Prep settings
Labor Distribution Profile
- Navigate to Settings > Profiles/Policies > Labor Distribution
- Click Add New Profile
- Add Name
- Attach the |Earnins List or create a new one.
- Add rows for the allocation percent to each cost center
- Save
Assign Labor Distribution To Applicable Employee
- Navigate to My Team > Employee Information
- Choose the applicable employee

Assign Labor Distribution profile
- Save
Edit Pay Prep Profile
- Navigate to Settings > Profiles/Policies > Pay Prep
- Click the pencil to edit the applicable profile.
- Find the rules that pertain to the earnings to be automatically distributed.
- Click the pencil to edit the rules.
- Set the applicable rule to "Clear"
- Save.
