This article provides instructions on creating Performance Review components. Before building a Review Profile, components that will be used in the Review process will need to be configured: Ratings to set evaluation scales, Reasons to define review purposes, Core Values reflecting company principles, Competencies outlining skills and behaviors, Goals specifying employee objectives, and Weights to assign impact percentages to components.
Security Profile Settings

Locate Performance Reviews and set the permissions to View, Edit, Add, and Delete.
Please note: You can also enable additional options here, such as Manage For All (full access regardless of manager status) or View Manager Instructions. - Locate Profiles and set the permissions to View or View/Edit. This allows users to assign performance review profiles to employee accounts.
- Locate Performance Management Fuctions and check to allow Performance Mass Finalize.
- Locate the specific settings you need to configure, such as Competencies, Core Values, Goals, Ratings, Reasons, and Review Profiles.
- Check the boxes for View, Edit, Add, and Delete to give the user full configuration rights for these items.
- Check the box for My Performance Reviews. This gives Employees access to their reviews under My Info > My Career > Performance > Performance Reviews.
Configuring Core Components (Prerequisites)
- Go to Settings > HR Setup > Performance Review > Ratings.
- Click Add New. Enter a Rating Name and select a Method (Value, Range, or No Value).
- Enter the corresponding numeric value.
- Check the boxes under Used In to designate where this rating applies (Final Grade, Competencies, Core Values, Goals). Click Save.
- Go to Settings > HR Setup > Performance Review > Reasons.
- Click Add New. Enter a Review Reason name and a Description. Click Save.
- Go to Settings > HR Setup > Performance Review > Core Values.
- Click Add New. Enter the Core Value name and a brief Description. Click Save.
- Go to Settings > HR Setup > Performance Review > Competencies.

Click Add New. Enter a Competency Name and Description. Click Save.
Please note: The Skills section will not be brought into the Performance Review.
- Go to Settings > HR Setup > Performance Review > Goals.
- Click Add New. Enter a Goal Name and Description.
- Specify the Company Goal Effective From/To Dates to determine when the goal is active.

Check the box for Add To Performance Review to ensure it can be included in the review. Click Save.

Please note: You must choose only one configuration method (the Legacy Review Profile configuration OR the Performance Review Wizard configuration) to build your profile. Do not use both processes simultaneously, as doing so can produce errors or unreliable results.
